We use a number of laboratories on a regular basis, depending on the tests we need. Here are a few of the many tests we run most often:
The Hernandez Wellness Panel
This screening panel is a comprehensive panel designed by Drs. Connie and Marcel. The low cash price was negotiated through a contract with a consortium of physicians, resulting in a cost that is about the tenth what the laboratory might bill insurance. Because we focus on prevention, the promotion of optimal health, and the integration of all physiologic systems, as well as the assessment of disease states, we value this more comprehensive look at body functioning.
American Metabolic Laboratories Cancer Profile
This is an eight-test profile designed for early cancer detection and for monitoring the progress of ongoing cancer therapies. The profile detects biochemical, endocrine, and metabolic changes leading to or indicating cancer.
Diagnostechs Laboratory Salivary Hormone Testing
Salivary hormone testing for both men and women gives the doctors at the Hernandez Center a clear analysis of hormone imbalances that may have played a part in either causing or sustaining the cancer. The test results show us exactly where to intervene in the hormone cascade in order to restore balance. Salivary panels are most often utilized for adrenal testing and evaluation of sex hormones in patients not already on hormonal therapies.
SpectraCell Micronutrient Profile
Vitamin, mineral and antioxidant deficiencies have been shown to affect the function of the immune system, contributing to many degenerative disease processes. SpectraCell’s Micronutrient tests measure intracellular levels of vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and amino acids within white blood cells. Science confirms that analyzing the white blood cells gives an accurate analysis of a body’s deficiencies.
Immuno Labs Food Allergy Testing
Immuno Labs IgG and IgE food sensitivity/food allergy testing can be useful in discovering foods which may be problematic for a particular person. The elimination of foods to which you are reactive often results in health benefits on many levels, and is generally a key element in the treatment of autoimmune conditions and chronic illness
Doctors Data Comprehensive Stool Analysis
Comprehensive Stool Analysis with Parasitology Test (x3) (CDSA or CSAP) evaluates digestion and absorption, lack of beneficial bacteria, presence of potentially pathogenic bacteria and/or parasites, overgrowth of fungal elements, immune status of the gut wall, and more. This test is used to evaluate the cause of both systemic and gastrointestinal conditions. Good health depends on a healthy gut ecosystem.
Approximately 25 percent of all cases of colorectal cancers can be attributed to heritable genetic changes. Based on a simple saliva sample, Pathway Genomics’ Hereditary Colorectal Cancer DNA InsightSM uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology to identify genetic changes that affect a patient’s risk of developing certain types of cancer.
Metamatrix Labs – Organix Profile
The Organix Profiel provides a view into the body’s cellular metabolic processes and the efficiency of metabolic function. Identifying metabolic blocks or problems with detoxification, gut dysbiosis, or oxidative stress that can be treated nutritionally allows for individual tailoring of interventions. Targeted treatment can help maximize patient responses and lead to improved patient outcomes.
Organic acids are metabolic intermediates produced in pathways of central energy production, detoxification, neurotransmitter breakdown, and intestinal microbial activity. Accumulation of specific organic acids in urine often signals a metabolic inhibition or block. This abnormality may be due to a nutrient deficiency, an inherited enzyme deficit, toxic build-up, or drug effect. Testing for organic acids helps reveal activity and changes at the metabolic level, helping practitioners discover hidden issues and pinpoint where therapeutic focus is needed.
