The \u201cmedia blackout\u201d on natural therapies is compounded by the immense power of the pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>\n

The pill-pushers\u2019 massive advertising budgets have had a tremendous impact on the editorial slants of the major print publications and broadcast media.<\/p>\n

As a result, many<\/strong> extraordinarily\u00a0effective natural treatments for cancer\u00a0never make the airwaves. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Cancer patients may learn about these treatments from their oncologists \u2013 if they\u2019re lucky \u2013 but usually in the form of dire warnings not to become distracted from chemotherapy.<\/p>\n

Example: Intravenous Therapies in the Treatment of Cancer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many people have heard of intravenous vitamin C as a complementary cancer therapy. <\/strong>IV vitamin C helps stimulate the immune system and discourages the growth and spread of cancer by its direct cytotoxic effect on cancer cells.<\/p>\n

\"vitamins-iv\"We often suggest this therapy to our cancer patients at the Hernandez Center. What people may not know is that we also offer other IV therapies <\/strong>that can be helpful to support cancer patients, depending on their symptoms and individual needs.<\/p>\n

For example, we often administer essential nutrients by IV, between IV vitamin C sessions<\/strong>. The IV nutrients can help the patient\u2019s body generate more energy. They can also revitalize patients who are feeling generally fatigued or have low blood counts.<\/p>\n

Among the other anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer IV therapies we offer are IV curcumin (turmeric) and IV silibinin (from milk thistle).<\/strong><\/p>\n

An IV treatment that can help prevent cancer patients\u2019 bodies from losing too much weight, and\/or help them gain more weight, is an IV infusion that includes a variety of amino acids.<\/p>\n
